Sustainable City

The image of city of the future cannot exclude an efficient economy based on the use of green and sustainable technologies through the recovery and rationalisation of resources; the use of clean and efficient energy radically the face of cities, preventing environmantal dceline and the loss of biodiversity, re-establishing an economy based on teh rhythms and regenarative capacity of the ecosystem.

An energy efficient model will radically change the face of the cities, preventing environmental decline and the loss of biodiversity, re-establishing  an economy based on the rhythms and regenerative capacity of the ecosystem. An energy model compatible with the environment could proceed in step with the return to town planning models scale, to sow part of the city, in harmony with the rhythms of the natural environment and thus allow the reformulation and consolidation of a spontaneus, balanced, man-nature relation.

The virtual examples chosen in this section of the exhibition show how such eco-compatible behavior, is possible not only by protecting the currently existing open space, but also by converting previously converted artificial environments (Brookling  Bridge Park and High Line in New York, the Foundrie's Gardens in Nantes-France).
These projects also show how the approach to sustainable planning focusing on the relationship with the natural elements of the region is a question that crosses all scales, from the urban to the architectural.
