Next April 30 in the Italian Cultural Institute in London Ci will be the launch of the 2009 edition of the "Barbara Cappochin" Prize and the presentation of the next exhibition of the architect Zaha Hadid in the Palazzo della Ragione in Padua - Italy
LAUNCH OF THE "BARBARA CAPPOCHIN" PRIZE IN PADUA
Last Wedneday 18 March there was been the lunch of the "Barbara Cappochin Prize" 2009 edition and a short presentation of the exhibition of the architect Zaha Hadid in the Palazzo della Ragione.
Over the course of the 23rd World Architecture Congress (Turin June 29 - July 3), which included participation by the Barbara Cappochin Foundation, the 2009 edition of the Biennial was launched and the name of the great architect who will design the next exhibit at Palazzo della Ragione was announced.

GIANCARLO IUS has passed away
Giancarlo Ius, Vice President of the U.I.A. (International Union of Architects) since 2005, passed away in Turin during the night between Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th of July, just a short time before his dream was crowned: the Presidency of the U.I.A. at the 23rd World Architecture Congress.
The Barbara Cappochin Foundation lost a loyal, generous and sincere friend in his passing. He was an ardent supporter who was always ready not only to sustain it, but also to indicate the path for reaching a world level.
His energy, communicative ability, positivism, and drive to pursue quality architecture will remain indelibly as part of the Foundation bringing new and profound energies to obtain the proper balance between the quality of life and the quality of architecture.
